We hear the birds chirp to one another, eager to welcome warmer days, while we dig for some treasures under the hardened ground. The sun beckons the turtles to come out of their shells to soak up its rays. We love spring!

We go to different parts of the park, singing cheerful songs while collecting sticks and stones, celebrating every single change we see. We tell stories, observe nature and build our own “home” – making little pots out of clay, food out of mud, stoves out of rocks and sticks, brooms out of branches to clean the leaves.

We play! And there is nothing better than that.

Spring TOCA will run from March 4th- June 21st;
there is no TOCA on Memorial Day – Monday, May 27th.

Morning Group

Nature classes for children 2-4 years old; minimum age is 22 months at semester begin.

Morning hours:     9:00am to 1:00pm
Extended hours:   1:00pm to 3:00pm

Tuition:
4 hours per day (9am-1pm)

2 days/week – $ 3584
3 days/week – $ 5184
4 days/week – $ 6656
5 days/week – $ 8000

Extended hours:
2 hours per day (1pm-3pm); in addition to morning group tuition.

After School Group

Nature classes for children 3-8 years old; children 3-4 years old must be fully potty trained.

Mondays & Thursdays:   3pm to 5:30pm

Tuition:
2 1/2 hours per day (3pm-5:30pm)

Mondays   – $ 770 ($ 880 w/pickup)
Thursdays – $ 980 ($ 1120 w/pickup)

Pickup currently is at PS 321 & PS 39 only.

There is no after school on following school holidays:
April 1 (Easter)
April 10  (Eid-al-Fitr)
May 29th (Memorial Day)
June 8th (Chancellor’s Conference)

School Holidays Group

Outdoor day camp for children 3-8 years old (children must be fully potty trained).

Tuition:
5 hours per day (9am-2pm)

$ 140/day

We offer playgroup on following school holidays:

April 22nd-30th (Spring Recess)
June 6th (Chancellor’s Conference)
June 7th (Clerical Day)
June 17th (Eid-al-Adha)
June 19th (Juneteenth)

No commitment; days can be selected as needed. Please read our School Holiday guidelines before completing registration.

Registration Info

  • 1. Before anything, please read our guidelines (see links above) and if anything is unclear or you have any questions related to the spring program, please contact us first.

    2. When you’re ready to commit and know your dates, fill out the form; if you’re new, you have to pay a one-time registration fee of $ 50.

    3. At the end of registration a credit card payment is required. If you’re signing up for the morning group a non-refundable deposit (25% of the tuition) is due. For after school tuition up to $ 1000 is due in full; tuition amounts over that have installment options. For school holidays the entire tuition is due.

    4. As soon as we receive your registration (and deposit), we will send you a confirmation email as well as an invoice for the remaining tuition and a clear payment schedule and payment terms.

    5. About a month before the season starts we will send out and important information email containing location & times, gear recommendations etc.

  • While we understand that circumstances change in your life, or that you just simply changed your mind, we are holding the spot for you until fall and by doing so, very likely turning other people away.

  • Well, it depends when you cancel and which group you sign up for; please refer to the cancellation policy in the guidelines as well as the registration form. Please note that even if you are eligible for a refund, we cannot refund the fees our payment provider charges, as they no longer refund any fees charged.

  • We accept any major credit cards. The tuition installments (2-4 morning group) can be paid via credit card, Venmo or Zelle.

  • Yes, we do! A discount of 15% of the sibling’s tuition is automatically calculated in the registration form and deducted from the total. The sibling’s tuition must be equal or less than the first child’s tuition for the discount to be activated.

  • The pricing quoted above is in correlation with the number of days chosen in the morning group.

    Parents can choose up to the number of days they chose for the morning hours for the extra hours (i.e. 4 days per week for mornings but 1-4 of those days with extra hours).

  • We currently only offer after school on Mondays & Thursdays; if you are interested in Tuesdays and/or Wednesdays, please send us an email and if there are enough people, we may open another afternoon.

  • No worries – just shoot us an email and we’ll be happy to answer your question and help you sort it out.

FAQs

  • We meet inside the park near the 5th Street entrance. Pickup will be by the 3rd Street entrance.

  • Yes! Rain or shine. That said we keep an eye on the weather – if there is a thunderstorm forecast, or high winds we may have to cancel.

  • Jump in puddles! Generally the rain is not the issue, but the clothing the kids wear. If the kids have the proper gear, a rainy day can be a lot of fun. That said, there are days when the amount of rain and cold temperatures (and wind) make a day pretty miserable and we may have to cancel; as when there is a thunderstorm predicted or high winds.

  • We constantly keep an eye on the weather forecast and try to do our best to email you the evening before in case we have to cancel playgroup; but even with all technology avaialble a clear answer is not always possible the evening before, in which case we check the forecast again very early the morning of playgroup. If we need to cancel, we will send you a text.
